The world is a different place when you are in love...

I agree with others that this style is a little over-the-top for my personal taste. However, born from this love obsessiveness, is insight to many other aspects of life. It seems that by caring for Stella so much other aspects of life are put in their place. Although they are only touched upon briefly, they come with a direct clarity. For example sonnet 10 which deals with the role between love and sense "But thou woulds needs fight both with love and sense,/ With sword of wit giving wounds of dispraise,/ Till downright blows did foil they cunning fence." While some waist their lives trying to be clever, in the light of love these ambitions are seen as self destructive.
